FIRST
Due to financial hardships, 3-D can not afford to continue sponsoring Team #1.
Due to this loss, the Juggernauts decide to build the robot at the school with the assistance of the parents and the faculty of the Engineering Manufacturing Technology Cluster..

We worked the Pontiac Kiwanis’ concession stand at three Detroit Lion’s games this year to earn funds for the team.

Many of Team #1’s friends help with money donations or assist in other ways. Ford Corporation donates $5000.00 and ITT donates $1000.00 to help with Team #1’s financial situation.
.    We win the Chairman’s Award at the Great Lakes Regional. At Nationals, Wild Stang and the Bomb Squad picked our robot for Finals in their division.
Student, Billy Keller, and instructor, Thomas Rice, promote FIRST and their team’s success at the Great Lakes Regional in an interview with Crazy Al on radio station WPON.
A group of Russian educators tour OTCNE, focusing on EMT as an example of excellence in Career Technical Education.  The Juggernauts introduced them to our FIRST program.
The DaimlerChrysler Educational Foundation donates $20,000.00 to support Team #1 which is used to pay competition expenses and to buy Lego Mind Storm Kits to be distributed to Lego League teams.

OCCRA and the MTA were both recognized by the Michigan Association of School Boards as “Outstanding Technical Programs in Michigan” in their respective categories.
